i finally got to hear dalsha’s new album!! \o/ and i was kinda glad to say i loved it more than the first one. at least from the flow of the songs anyway. they’ve got to get rid of these weird cover art though…it IS cute but always have that double meaning in them…even for the first time you see it :| anyway time to review the songs!

m01 shakalaka – oh my…if there is anything i admire e-tribe for, its his ability to make awesome hiphop/crunk whatever songs…and then put it on a girl group! it reminds me of the first track on their debut single a lot but definitely has this lighter feel to it.

m02 Pink Rocket – fuck the bubbles! it is too annoying and it really ruined the song’s flow, which i feel there is none until the rap. it sounded like two songs, a hypnotizer and a fierce crunk one, combined into one song to make it a “title” track…i’m a bit disappointed in this one but i’m loving the rap and the rap ONLY.

m03 그대로 멈춰라 – i swear this song was made sometime in late 2000s lol. i thought the beat was a beat outdated and e-tribe added some modern beats to save the song from being a disaster. i loved the background choir vocals though, take that out and it’ll be meh. overall loved the beats in this one. i hope there’s an instrumental in this one.

m04 Rollin Fallin – just like in the last single, the last track always make me sleep…a deep sleep. is this a good pattern or what? i don’t know. but this song i think is what made the whole single complete. a closer, a song that will make you feel satisfied and craving for the next one :D still it made me sleep.

i hope dalsha will release a full-length physical album containing some songs from the singles because i’ll definitely buy one. i am not a fan of their looks though honestly. jiyul and subin is pretty though, the others are forgetful except for seri and i guess everybody knows why lol. i hope e-tribe continues to make “decent” songs for them because they’re one of the few girl groups out there that i can swallow their music and at least meaningful, poetic lyrics (repetitive? lol understand the lyrics first plz). they’re slowly making their own identity and are just a matter of time until everybody knows who they are…at least musically lol. i guess the post title says it all…

i was SUPPOSED to be making a “dal shabet where are u now :( ” and “omg rainbow is coming back” post, but i was diverted by these girls day fanarts while looking for new pics to accompany this post….oh well. i was wondering, is it because the beauty of having a cute style with very distinct faces of their members make girls day easy to make a fanart for them?? and this is the second time i made a post about them… in your face much girls day? i must say out of the 2010 groups that debuted last year they’re the only ones whose faces i can remember even with the millions of girl groups debuting…

damn, i guess i have to make my rainbow post next time? :D

it is release week for the kpop idol world these days. new songs, breathtaking MV sets and some of that teaser shit. popular idols are coming back one by one and while their new works caught me in an instant, the new girls’ day caught my attention in nanoseconds. from those videos in youtube where they danced in some crowd to that OH MY GOSH SO SHITTY debut song and to the departures of two members which i don’t even bother made me think this group is scrapped. but not anymore. while i find the remaining members talented it turns out that dreamtea ent. is hiding another pair of great members on their vaults…and a contact with metaoloz. i saw hyeri and yura on “bouquet” and although i don’t understand wtf are they saying since there’s no subs, their beauty is enough for you to pay attention to them, its a great compliment to other 3 members which i really like. and then the MV for “nothing lasts forever” and it made my jaw drop. a very VERY different MV from the usual idol MV that has glam, blings, shiny sets, rainbows and candies, dark/sexy themes and close-ups. dynamic angles, fantastic crane work, and theshaky camera made it really good. it seems that the five don’t care who sings in the background and to who the camera wants to shoot making viewers like me made me more curious about them. and did i say its made by the metaoloz creative group? one of korea’s finest in creative arts? and don’t get me even started about the song. loooong note climax??…..all about this comeback is daebak. this ain’t ur typical kpop and i hope girls’ day continue to do this style and production then show their personalities more by more media exposure.

i am no erepyon oshi but she is definitely on my top members. akb had its fair share of graduations and this one is what for me is the most sad of them all (unexpected like gussan/matsuyuki and expected like the five original team a girls and a bit of personal decision like maimai’s). i am jealous of the new fans that has just got to know them because they don’t have those memories (and goods) of her from the old days that you can’t just put away because you feel that you are attached to it… i guess i became a fan in the wrong place at the wrong time :P those things i heard from fans on the reason why she graduated is now the past and i’m glad she is taking a step forward to a new path. who knows years from now she might really become the best actress in the world she might make billions! xD akb will not be the same without her and i will surely miss pyon being a member. and now, time to watch that LOD!!

haven’t been keeping up with recent japanese neta news ( think of it as WIRED, kotaku, cnet, allkpop and all sorts of weird and interesting news but in japanese) lately so decided to take a quick look at some known popular neta blogs to catch up…one thing that caught my attention is the posts about the STB48 strawberry roll cake that has been buzzing around for days. just what are the pastry makers of PLACIDO bakery thinking into making such a thing and why is the cake selling so fast that they even have to set a pre-order date to control the demand?? there is no other reason but its connection to AKB. the cake even have exactly 48 strawberries in it to tribute the group! some people say the cake was created because the owners of the bakery are AKB fans :o linking together product selling strategies and AKB seems like a good idea these days but what about the xxx48 copyright that aki-p owns? a question on did the bakery bought the rights for it seems unclear for now. but what is important is PLACIDO is making lots of $$$ and providing delicious desserts to everyone while indirectly promoting AKB :D

nope, this blog is not a food blog and is still an idol blog :P i would love a slice of cake while playing their upcoming PSP game though :D
